Do you ship puppies?

We do not ship puppies as cargo. The health and safety of our puppies is our top priority, and we believe it's best for them to travel with a person rather than alone in a cargo hold. However, we are happy to work with you on ground transport options or arrange in-person pickup at our location. In some cases, we may be able to meet you partway or personally deliver your puppy for an additional fee.

How will you contact me about puppy updates?

We love keeping our families in the loop! Once you've joined our waitlist or placed a deposit, we primarily use text messaging to send you photos, videos, and reminders. We find this is the fastest way to get you those adorable puppy updates.

What are your hours?

We are available by appointment only. Since our dogs are raised in our home as part of our family, we do not have set business hours like a traditional storefront. Typical availability is Monday through Friday 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm and Saturday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, both by appointment. Sunday is closed for family and puppy rest. We do our best to respond to messages, emails, and calls within 24 hours.

We live in the city, but we’re fortunate to have plenty of space for our dogs to run, play, and enjoy an active, enriched life. Puppies are born and raised inside our home, where they are surrounded by the everyday sounds, sights, and routines of family life. From the start, they are gently handled, loved on, and introduced to children, other pets, and early enrichment to help them become well-rounded companions. Our home isn’t just where we raise puppies—it’s where they are truly part of the family.

Yes. Our puppies are registered with the American Stock Dog Registry (ASDR). Registration paperwork is provided according to the terms of the applicable purchase agreement.

Puppies typically go to their new homes at 8 weeks of age or older, depending on their individual development and veterinary recommendations.

How do I reserve a Toy or Mini Australian Shepherd puppy?

Accepted Answer

To reserve a puppy, you must first submit an application. Once approved, you will receive a Deposit Agreement and instructions for submitting your reservation deposit. Your reservation is confirmed only after we have received both your signed Deposit Agreement and deposit payment.

Do you require a deposit?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A $300 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a puppy or secure your place on our waitlist. The deposit is applied toward the purchase price of your puppy. Once your application has been approved, the signed Deposit Agreement and deposit payment must be received within three (3) business days unless other arrangements have been approved in writing. Puppies are reserved in the order deposits are received, and your reservation is not considered confirmed until both the signed Deposit Agreement and deposit payment have been received. A deposit reserves your position on our reservation list but does not guarantee a specific puppy, color, sex, eye color, size, or breeding outcome.

Are deposits refundable?

Deposits are non-refundable, as they reserve a puppy or hold your place on our waitlist. We understand that circumstances can change, and we strive to work with our puppy families whenever possible. If a suitable puppy is not available from the litter you've selected, your deposit may be applied toward a future litter. We encourage families to reach out with any questions before placing a deposit, so everyone feels comfortable and informed throughout the process.

Once the puppies are old enough for us to evaluate their personalities, temperaments, and overall development, families will be invited to make their selections according to their placement on the reservation list. Our goal is to make the puppy selection process enjoyable, transparent, and focused on finding the right fit for both the puppy and their future family.

Each puppy receives age-appropriate vaccinations, routine deworming, a microchip, and a starter puppy pack to help make the transition easier. Puppies also come with ASDR registration paperwork in accordance with the purchase agreement, a one-year genetic health guarantee, and lifetime breeder support. When you bring home a puppy from Crossroads Mini Aussies, you become part of our extended family, and we're always here to help with questions about training, nutrition, health, and care.

Breeding rights are not automatically included with the purchase of a puppy. They are only available to approved homes and must be discussed and agreed upon before a deposit is placed.
